A TELEPHONE TIME-SAVER THE Electrical Review describes a newdevice that will be welcomed by manypersons who make frequent use of the tele-phone; it is intended to save the timeusually wasted in holding the line. Theapparatus consists of a small trumpet thatmagnifies sound, and a platform behind thetrumpet to hold the telephone receiver. When the person at the telephone is askedto hold the line a moment, he places thereceiver on this platform in such a way thatit slides into position with the ear-pieceagainst the small end of the magnifyinghorn.
