The Social Hall with Walls Ceiled with North Carolina Pine, Trimmings of Ivory White andUpholstery and Rugs of Crimson, Presents a Cheery Feeling Upon Embarkation is beamed, and between these beams thewall is stenciled in colors, and the wholetreated with a greenish white color scheme.The mantel is of Verona red marble. Theold pieces of mahogany furniture and theold copper lamp over the dining table areinteresting types of the antique. Frenchwindows open on to the upper deck, fromwhich an unobstructed view of the ocean isobtained. The deck is inclosed with a rope rail-ing, the same as is used for steamboats.The entire wall space toward the building ispainted Indian red, outlined with a Grecianborder. The Captains Stateroom andbathroom occupy the remaining part ofthis floor, the former being treated in avery dainty and nautical manner.
