Ti-fTS is one of the earliest spring vegetables, and should be in universal use. Many persons think it is difficult to grow, i/cru weconsider this a mistake, and believe it can be produced as cheaply and easily as any on the list. Sow the seed in the seed bedlate in the fall or in the early spring, as soon as the ground can be worked, in drills one foot apart, covering the seed about one-inch deep. When the plants are four to five inches high, great care should be taken to keep the bed free of weeds. One ounce ofseed will sow forty feet of row. Thin to nine inches in the row.
