The Drawing-room Is Treated in the Louis XVI. Style. The Walls Are Paneled with Plaster Moldings and Wall-covering of Dresden Design December, 1906 AMERICAN HOMES AND GARDENS 373 The library istrimmed with m a-hogany, and has awainscoting with de-corated leather wallsabove and the wholefinished with heavyplaster cornice. Theceiling is of theJacobean style withornamental plasterribs, laid out in ageometrical form.The broad open fire-place has marble facings and hearth and a paneled mantel of simple but ele-gant design. French windows open onto the family porchwhich is separated from the entrance porch and affords aprivate outdoor living-room for the family.

The kitchen, servants hall, andlaundry have cross ventilation, and are lifted with all thebest modern conveniences.
